"Hirunaka no Ryuusei" Live-Action Film Trailer Featuring Theme Song by Dream Ami Posted

Toho today released a 90-second full trailer for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Mika Yamamori's shoujo manga Hirunaka no Ryuusei/Daytime Shooting Star introducing its theme song "Hayaku Aitai" (I Want to See You Soon) sung by Dream Ami, one of the singers of 19-member girl performance group E-girls. As a solo singer, she recently performed the Japanese-lyric version of "Try Everything," the theme song for Disney's 2016 animation film Zootopia.

The triangle love story manga was serialized for 78 chapters in Shueisha's Margaret biweekly shoujo manga magazine from 2011 to 2014, then compiled in 13 tankobon volumes. The story centers on the protagonist girl Suzume Yosano (played by 17-year-old Mei Nagano) who has transferred to a high school in Tokyo to live with her uncle. She fells in love with her homeroom teacher Satsuki Shishio (Shohei Miura), but her classmate Daiki Mamura (Aran Shirahama) is also attracted by her. Shirahama is a member of seven-member dance/vocal unit GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE that belongs to
the same agency with Dream Ami and her E-girls, LDH (EXILE, Sandaime J Soul Brothers).

Takehiko Shinjo (Paradise Kiss, Your Lie in April)-directed film will open in Japan on March 24.
